This is Herman, one of our ornate males, so named because of his green head.  (Remember the Munsters?)  Ornates spend
a lot of time in the water, even though they are from an arid climate.  In the wild, they dig burrows and create their own
microclimates that are surprisingly humid.  Many desert tortoises do the same.
This is Red-eye, named after a pal of ours.   Most box turtles will continue mating until they've finished, no matter what happens.  
They are also very good climbers.

These are pictures of Rocky, the turtle that got Tony started as a turtler.  Rocky came in with over 20 bot
fly larvae inside his body.
